Can't Hardly Wait (1998)
--Harry Elfont & Deborah Kaplan
Hahaha, I just wanted to see this one again. Ya'll have seen this one right? It's about a high school graduation party. Basically every high school stereotype that you can think of is represented in this film, but in a funny way (trust me, not as bad as it is today). The main characters are Preston (Embry), who's decided that this is the night that he's going to tell Amanda (Hewitt) about his four-year crush on her; his best friend (who's name I can't remember, sorry Lauren Ambrose!) who is fully disillusioned with high school and ends up getting stuck in a bathroom his wannabe playa "special K" or Kenny (Green); a jock who just broke up with Amanda and is regretting it; and a nerd who is planning revenge on that jock for ruining his life in high school, but gets wrapped up in the festivities. Then there are a bunch of minor characters, that are awesome. Especially the dude who just pops up now and again to steal things. Hahaha, life. Fun times. So great.
Just have to say, that when I was watching it I noticed that there were six people in it who would later be in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But then I went on wikipedia and apparently it was nine people! I'll list them. For fun times.
Seth Green (Oz!), Amber Benson (Tara!), the dude who played Jesse in the first two episodes, Clea Duvall who played Marcie the invisible girl, the guy who was Owen in
Never Kill a Boy on the First Date, and then a guy who was in a few episodes as someone who was mean to Xander (sadness). Those were all of the ones that I identified. Then they tell me that there was some chick who was practically an extra in one of the episodes, and this guy who I sorta can't remember being in the film was apparently there, and then, ohmygod, the chick who played Veruca was there! When I saw her in the film I was like, where have I seen her before? But I couldn't remember. She looks so different in Buffy! Yeah, okay, done with that. Hahaha.

And I love Barry Manilow too, so yay to this movie.
